NaNoWriMo 2008

Fri Oct 31, 2008, 11:45 AM
After a two year hiatus, I'm once again participating in NaNoWriMo. I'll be writing a new Night City story.

For those of you with LiveJournals, I'll be posting the WIP in locked posts over at the Night City Tales community. Please note you'll need to be a member to see those posts.

I'm also working ona rewrite of Zombies in the Spring at the same time, so this should be an, ah, interesting year!

Re: Every comment you left on Ursula's LJ post on OSBP - Thanks again for saying everything I wanted to say a million times more effectively (and delightfully sarcastically) than I ever could.
Re: the last two deviant comments here - I should've known you and Mesoputina'd get along. And yes, dA is really Elfwood reborn (and purged of a suprising number of the trolls - why that would be, though, I wonder...)

(I'm "ofthewood" over there, btw, I've dropped by and left feedback here or at Lj now and then for such delights as "Night City." Can't wait to get time to really read the new stuff.)
:iconrenatus:
(Aw man, I gotta remember to check my gallery more often, I only just now noticed this comment!)

Hee! You're welcome! Especially considering I was FROTHING WITH RAGE at the one person and quite literally about to the point I wanted to throw things. I didn't feel at all articulate but I'm glad I sounded so regardless. :D

The main difference between dA and Elfwood is that dA actually gets better with time. [/biiiitter former admin]

:D Glad you like Night City (man, this comment has seriously made my day)--I'm going to work on a new novel-length story for it this summer.

Do drop by anytime. I think I'll devwatch you--I love masks. Lovelovelove.

I've been horribly behind the times on my gallery, too, finals have been chewing through my energy. At least you maintain articulation.
I'm not sure what happened with Elfwood. Urs's new site mentioned something about how such sites eventually bloat and everybody ditches for a more manageable one, but I wasn't sure whether Elfwood really bloated like most community sites do or whether it's so sweetly behind the times on defense that it just attracts the worst from every part of the world. I was never all that good with illustration, and I hardly had any comments but from IRL friends, but I've still managed to collect a troll here and there; so far (astoundingly) dA hasn't supplied such. The community as I've encountered in in personal interaction has been amazing. Even when differences of opinion crop up. (Of course, I've just cursed myself saying it.)

I'll just have enough time at the end of the summer before classes hit full swing to check on the story - I'll be in (OMGFREAKIN' ) China until then so it's quite likely much of the subject matter might be pushing boundaries over there. But it'll be a nice return to the uncensored world to check it out. ^-^
:iconrenatus:
Whoa, China! Have fun there! And don't worry, my website is paid up for two years so Night City will definitely be there when you get back. *g*

Good to hear ^-^ I hadn't even thought of that, it's too easy to assume a good thing will stick around...
:iconrenatus:
Now that I've found your art I don't want to miss a single new piece! Your jewelry and your drawings/paintings both are amazing and inspiring.
